Pfeiffer’s diaphragm pumps are already an ideal backing pump for Pfeiffer Vacuum turbopumps. This is thanks to their compact designs and pumping speed ranging from 0.25 to 4.3m3/h, working completely without oil. This makes them suitable for all jobs where a clean, dry vacuum is required such as leak detection, which we use a lot at West Technology. Their lightweight and compact design allows the pumps to fit into small analytical systems.
Pfeiffer Vacuum is introducing diaphragm pumps with special properties to the market. Pfeiffer HiPace turbopump stations can now control and connect the turbopump, diaphragm pump and power supply via the RS-485 interface.
1The brushless DC motor allows the speed to be adjusted to the particular application. In automatic mode, the pump runs with an open gas ballast valve at full speed. It reduces the speed as soon as a certain vacuum is reached. This results in high performance and long maintenance intervals. The diaphragm pumps achieve very high energy efficiency though the DC drive. Due to the 24 V DC voltage, fewer requirements of the safety standard DIN EN/UL 61010 are necessary

Operating and maintenance costs of this reliable pump are kept low and easy. The diaphragm and the valves are easy to replace during annual services
